About Dave Newman

The witty and popular Dave Newman is currently a busy teacher and speaker requested in international professional photographic circles today.

He now has over 350 PPA merits and has recently authored an exciting new book in conjunction with Marathon Press entitled “Professional Portrait Lighting” (2nd Ed.)

Dave is one a very few National PPA APPI degree holders (that is “APPROVED PHOTOGRAPHIC INSTRUCTORS) “ and has judged the Korean Professional Photographers competition in Cheju-Do Korea.

Sixty-one teaching and travel days last year were spent in Europe and Korea.

He has presented programs in Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, China, Germany, and for the PPA National Convention, the Canadian National Convention, the Mexican National Convention, the Korean National Convention as well as PMA and numerous other Country ,National and State conventions.

He has taught or is scheduled to teach week-long courses at GLIPP, Heart of America, Texas School, West Coast School, Golden Gate School,New York Society of PP, Oklahoma School and many courses on local university levels.
